On Tuesday 23rd February, 2016, Obolo People rejoiced greatly. That day witnessed one of the greatest celebration of Obolo Nation in Port Harcourt, following the selection of Obolo language by the Nation Museum as the mother tongue language of Rivers State for 2016 in view of fulfilling the mother tongue rememberance day by the UNESCO on the 21st February of every year.
